How’s your life now?
One question that made me realize how fast my life had changed in almost every aspect. It turned out into a difficult question to me.
Twelve years ago
I saw a girl in a sweet white dress. I stared into her innocent eyes, she stared back to me as if she was sending a code through her eyes. I
couldn’t understand. Did she screamed? Cried? Or shared a happiness?
Till her eyes broke into a tears. She was scared, felt discriminated, confused where she was belong to, she lost her self in a very young age.
Nothing to hide.
She screamed but no one heard.
She definitely belong to nothing. Stood on herself. Ignored by the universe.
Six years ago
I found the same girl. She had gown up. Same dress, different color. Red. It could be blood, or ink. Almost nothing fat left on her body. Skeleton.
She must be sacrified to get what she had now. She had a disease. Something that she made it by herself. A disease that made her obsessed about beauty.
No one realized, but I do. She risked every component of her life, her family, her friend, her school, especially her body to get what she want. She
touched herself as a hideous monster.
She had learned how to swallow her voice and emotion. She had learned how to fake things, how to pretend because that was the point of her new life.
Pretending. She was pretended to adapt, to survive. She got more understood about the work of universe. The universe don’t care what you get
into, the universe don’t care about your process, what they care are your result and benefit.
Her eyes reflected the light of her soul and the darkness of her mind. Her soul and mind are fought against each other.
She created a grey line between black and white.
Now
She smiled widely. Her eyes shone a brave light. She got stronger more than she knew. Because life had give her a shit, slapped her with iron, gave her
a sweet dream then smacked her with a harsh reality. She was deeply wounded but she survived. She understood the point of life. We are lucky to get
problem. Because if it doesn’t kill you, it’ll makes you stronger. Life made her stronger. She glad to face and through problem by problem
along her life.
She found herself when she broke out from her-old-self.
She never been more better than now. She never been more grateful than now. Grateful for every pain, wound, fear, darkness, tears that had come to her
life and give her a value and lesson to learn.
Because without darkness, there is no light. Without hatred, there is no love. Without tears, there is no smiles.
I smiled to her, she smiled back.
I looked into her eyes, and she looked me back.
She is my reflection all this time.
Live in a different dimension.
Separated by mirror.
So, how’s my life now? Maybe you could ask her. She’s the one who understand how my life is going. She’s been here all time. And
isn’t it amazing how fast our lives turn from one thing into the other.
