It's a fun writing exercise! I know it from Ninda Daianti, my fiction writing's teacher. Try to pick one word, then expends it to 100 words, no more and no less. It's not taking a long time, and you can do it anywhere and anytime to kill your time, in this post, I pick 'guitar'.
It is the only thing that hugs you through its melody in the dark of the night, cracks your tears through its harmony, listens to your heart through its pitch. Guitar is your only best friend in your loneliness. The scars, color of its wood, strings, strange smells, all of that which grow together with our growing and our memory will stay in the save line between our hello and goodbye. Every time when the sun rises, we find people sing and dance to its melody, melody of joy or ballad. Guitar always accompanies us in our joy or sorrow.
